Submission Guidelines

Guidelines for formatting

Submissions must:

  • be under 10MB

  • be either PDF or Word formats

  • be double spaced, size 12 in clear sans serif font (eg. Arial)

  • have clear page numbers

Accepted Forms for Submission

When submissions are open, authors may use the below form to submit their work.

Unsolicited email submissions and any print submissions will not be considered.

If an author has met one of our staff and been asked to submit their work directly via email, they should be provided with an email address to do so.

Agents may directly email the publishers.

Please Note

Simultaneous submissions to publishers are accepted at Appointed Media. Should your work be accepted by another publisher, we ask that you inform us as early as possible as a matter of courtesy.

Please do not resubmit work previously submitted. This will be flagged by our system.

Do I need to illustrate my book?

You do not need to illustrate your book, nor provide a book cover. These services are offered by Appointed Media, should your submission be accepted.

Is my work protected?

All submissions are considered confidential and protected work. They may be shared with in-house staff as necessary to make decisions. Your confidentiality and the status of your submission will be respected.

Will you let me know if I am unsuccessful?

Due to the number of submissions received, not every submission shall be responded to. If you have not heard back from us within four months, you can assume that your work was unsuccessful and our team is unable to provide feedback. In these situations, we recommend you consider engaging professional editing services or a literary agent.
